Who is SimFic?

Dan DruryDan Drury has over 14 years experience growing and advising technology businesses. Dan started a software development company in 1993 fresh out of university.  Within 7 years, Dan sold this profitable and award-winning company for a seven figure sum to The NeverFail Group (www.neverfailgroup.com).  After 18 months as Head of Software at the parent company, and delivering two world class software projects including the world's first risk management portal (www.globalcontinuity.com) - he returned to his entrepreneurial roots founding SimFic in 2001; pausing only to get married and start a family.

SimFic's first project was to manage the development of an eLearning platform for a British software start-up (www.cetis.co.uk).  Dan hired the technical team and produced the software, which is now leads the information security  and compliance sectors.  Once the project completed, he handed the team over to Cetis and made an investment in the company - acting also as a business advisor to Adrian Woodcock the managing director.

In late 2001, Dan was contacted by an old business associate James Andrews; who wanted to exploit an exciting new software product that his company had developed.  Dan provided some seed capital and set about growing the business from 5 to 14 people, attracting clients including John Lewis, Volkswagen, Reuters, TNT, Ocado and many more.  In July 2003, the worst period in history for funding in the technology sector (according to Ernst & Young), Dan wrote a winning business plan that successfully raised £1,000,000.  Dan became CEO of WebAbacus (www.webabacus.com) and led the company to become a leading brand in the fiercely competitive web analytics market. In 2005 Dan helped to merge WebAbacus with The Usability Company to create Foviance (www.foviance.com), the worlds first experience management company, which now counts half of the FTSE100 amongst its clients.

Now working with Bowen Craggs & Co. (www.bowencraggs.com), Dan continues to work with start-ups and is looking for new and stimulating opportunities for SimFic to help others create shareholder value.
